“New Vision Youth Services, Inc. in Chesapeake has given out coats to…”
New Vision Youth Services, Inc. was developed in direct response to the regional and national study of disadvantaged youth falling through the cracks entering and aging out of the foster care system without family support. Approximately 30,000 foster care adolescents age-out of the foster care system each year. 1 in 5 youth that leave the foster care system will become homeless after age 18. Current statistics also show that foster youth are more than twice as likely as non-foster care youth to drop out of high school and become victims of sex trafficking.
